"Heave the Hawk" was created by Sox fans to provide a forum for baseball fans that are sick and tired of listening to the White Sox inferior television announcers. We invite fans of any team to enjoy our site. There are those who have hastily labeled us "#&@! Cubs fans" because we do not support Ken Harrelson. To them we say, touché. We love the White Sox. We also enjoy listening to Ed Farmer call White Sox games on the radio. Unfortunately, White Sox games are more difficult to enjoy when the television set is turned up. We understand that Ron Santo is arguably the worst announcer that has ever lived...but that is neither here nor there. Our aim is to rid Chicago's airwaves of Ken Harrelson. Chicago deserves better. 104 years of tradition, from Shoeless Joe to Ron Kittle, and we're stuck with bush league television announcers? It's time for an upgrade.
